Good to be back!
I don’t know how I will ever be able to leave Asayo’s Wish Foundation Orphanage. I left for only two weeks to drop my dear friend Kylee off at the airport and I was unbelievably home sick. Not for my home in America, but for my home in Kaberamaido, Uganda where my new family is. I could hardly sit still in my seat when we approached the orphanage after a long drive back from Kampala. The moment I stepped out of the car I was immediately surrounded by these precious little angels. Hugging. Kissing. Dancing. Laughing. The children’s laughter echoed throughout the compound and I finally felt at home.
Now it is back to crazy games where I have no idea what is going on, but that doesn’t stop me from playing, and the kids roll on the ground laughing because I totally make a fool of myself. My hair is excited to be back also. It really missed all the little hands tugging, pulling, and braiding it in wild Africa doos. Since school is out till the 23rd, I get to spend all day with the children. Well, most of them. Some went to go visit their guardians during the break and they still have not come back. I cannot wait for every single one to return!
